Handmade Christmas Card Made with Present Stencil

In This Post I Will Be Talking About Two Card Designs Using the Same Stencil.

What You Will Need (Red and Green Card):

Pre-Cut/Folded Card White

Glitter Craft Paper/Card X2 (Green and Red)

Plain White Card

Pinflair All Stick All Purpose Glue

Versamark Small Ink Pads

Wow Evergreen – Regular

Fairydust Stencils & Masks – Presents

Blue Tac

What to Do:

The First Thing You Need to Do Is Measure the Size of Your Recut/Folded Card (Unless You Already Know It) And Decide What Size You Want Your Layers to Be, For Example Mine Was:

Card (White): 18cm X 18cm

Layer 1 (Green Glitter): 16.5cm X 16.5cm

Layer 2 (Red Glitter): 12.5cm X 12.5cm

Layer 3 (White): 10.5cm X 10.5cm

Once You Have Measured Out Your Layers Cut Them to The Correct Sizes. Nest Glue Your First Layer onto Your Card and Set It Aside to Dry.

While the Glue Is Dry on The First Layer Start to Create the Design on The Top Layer. Select the Section of The Stencil You Want to Use and Stick It Down to Your Surface (Blu Tack Works Well as Well As Stencil Tape or Masking Tape) With Your Top Layer Underneath It, Making Sure the Card Is in The Correct Position for The Design. Use A Small Ink Pad or Pen to Ink the Area You Want the Design On. Remove the Stencil, Apply Your Emboss Powder, Shake Off Excess Powder and Heat.

Leave It to Cool For 30-60 Seconds and Then Glue to The Second Layer and Then Once It Has Dried Put the Two Halves of Your Card Together (Layers 2 And 3 Onto the Card and Layer 1) It May Need to Be Flattened Down as It the Heat Tool May Make the Bottom Layer Curl Up Slightly.

What You Will Need (Blue and White Card):

Pre-Cut/Folded Card BLUE

Glitter Craft Paper/Card X1 (Blue)

Plain Light Blue Card

Pinflair All Stick All Purpose Glue

Versamark Small Ink Pads

Wow Blue Topaz - 15ml

Fairydust Stencils & Masks – Presents

Blue Tac

Mica Flakes – Luna Silver

What to Do:

For the Second Card It Mainly the Same Method Except There Is Only 2 Layers and It Has More Detail on The Design.

So… Once You Have Embossed Your Presents onto The Top Layer (Layer 2) Leave the Card to Cool For 90 Seconds and Then It Is Time to Use Your Mica Flakes. These Make a Lot of Mess and Is Hard to Control When You First Start, So the Best Way to Do It Is in Sections.

Use Your Paint Brush to Apply the Glue on The Design and Gently Dip the Brush into The Mica Flakes and Dab the Area That You Have Applied the Glue To. Repeat This Until You Have Covered All Your Desired Area.

And Then Back to What We Did Before…

So, Two Designs Done Using the Same Stencil.
